Today, I went to the mall with my daughters to try out the “new fab” in milkshakes called ShakeOut. It was all over the news and the paper about this new concept on milkshakes so we decided to try it out. The idea is to take french vanilla ice cream (there is no other flavor) and add anything that your little heart desires to make a shake. They offer over 100 toppings from cereal, yes the ones we eat at breakfast, to candy, cakes, cookies and so on. And you can do this for the measly price of $3.99 and up

Well, I decided to go for the Chocolate Fudge Brownie since it sounded so good. But that’s were the fun stopped. For starters, the attendant took a little bit of vanilla ice cream, a lot of milk and then she dumped a big chunk of fudge and a brownie and mixed all this mess together. The look and the flavor were awful, no ice cream taste at all (you know, the thickness of a real shake were you basically have to fight to drink and the strong ice cream flavor); for me it was just cold milk with a slight taste of fudge, which by the way did not mix, so it sat at the bottom of the cup. It was disgusting, nasty and overrated. And for that price. Ludicrous! I could do better at home for a lot less money with a lot more flavor. I ended up giving it away for I felt sick to my stomach (I don’t like plain milk)

I will not recommend this atrocity to anyone nor I will ever stop by that place again. I rather drink a Mac Donald’s shake than this catastrophe! There you have it.  Stay away, save your money, and make your own. You’ll be happier

I was hooked for many years and was dependent on their programming, but after realizing that most of my favorite shows are free anyway and using an antenna solved that problem, the cable was gone. And it saved me a bundle

When I want to watch something other than broadcast, I stop by Live TV Cafe, where they have tons of free channels streaming live from all over the world. So far, so good. I admit the signal is sometimes choppy, and the video quality is not the best, but I cannot complain. I thought about joining Hulu or Netflix, but I will wait a while before deciding on that

This is the best decision I have made in a while. With this economy I have to save as much as I can, and paying to watch tv, is not my first priority
