Mad Or Guilt?

I think my husband’s niece is going cuckoo. After my mother in law was cremated, she picked up the ashes so we could take them to the beach on Sunday and spread them to the wind like she wanted. Well, now my niece has decided on her own to keep them. Yes, she won’t give the urn away. She is even sleeping with the urn upsetting her partner to the point of threatening to leave. Is she going mad or is she feeling guilty about something? Hard to say. This girl has been strange all of her life and her actions now deepens that thought

My sister in law does not know what to do. The memorial service is on Sunday and she is not bulging. I think we will have to use force to retrieve the urn from her house, which I think is ludicrous. For now, everything has been put on hold to see if she comes to her senses

I understand that we need to mourn, and for some of us the pain is deeper, but going to this extreme is not healthy in my book. So, what to do? I’ll post later
